Community Outreach
God laid it upon the heart of the pastor to increase the amount of Community outreach activities for the year 2026. Mount Zion has developed collaborative partnerships that have been a blessing to residents within the South Omaha community.
2026 Community Shredding Event
We are excited to share information about one of our most recent community events. Mount Zion partnered with the Urban Financial Group to sponsor a community wide shredding event. Members of the community were able to bring their documents to be shredded for free. We praise God for Jonny Nesbit, Terri Sanders and Karnetta Rushing of the Urban Financial Group who worked with us to sponsor this event.
Indian Hills Elementary School
The Lord blessed Mount Zion to partner with Indian Hills Elementary school for their 2026-27 Back-to-School Day. This was a fun event for the students at Indian Hills where they enjoyed fun activities and food while getting prepared for the beginning of school. Mount Zion was happy to be part of this event and donated toys to the school and gift bags to all of the teachers. The toys were provided from a grant through the Toys for TOTS program. Thanks to Ms. Nicole Ausdemore the principal of Indian hills, Mrs. Michelle Amill and Mrs. Olivia Svehla for allowing us to participate in this wonderful event! We pray the students have a fun and safe school year!
